ShuzTung Mechanical Industry College
In keeping with the philosophy of treating talented people with kindness, ShuzTung Industries established the ShuzTung Mechanical Industry College in 2015 to actively cultivate talent in the field of smart machinery. In order to train industry professionals and technical experts, with the government and schools to provide university and vocational high school students with opportunities for industry-academia cooperation, company practical project exercises, and semester or annual professional practice training and internships. The goal is to cultivate a new generation of smart machinery industry talent, allowing students to enhance their professional skills and workplace adaptability, and to seamlessly enter the workforce upon graduation. This approach promotes the practical application of knowledge, continuous improvement, and meets industry demands.
Effectiveness of Talent Development Promotion
The overall talent training framework is an extended training program that encompasses training, talent utilization, retention, and development, aimed at enhancing the quality of personnel, enriching knowledge and skills, improving work quality and performance, and jointly formulating future career plans with industry and academia. It cooperates with the government and academia to cultivate core R&D elites for the company's long-term development, and through the practice of introducing industrial technology R&D and innovative management and marketing, it creates a win-win cooperation relationship based on mutual trust, mutual benefit, and resource sharing.
Since its establishment in 2015, ShuzTung Mechanical Industry College has trained 15-20 industry-academia interns every year, with a retention rate of over 60% over the years. It has offered more than 600 hours of workplace learning and practical training courses (optics, machinery, electrical control, software, etc.) and completed nearly thirty practical projects. In the future, it will continuously improve systematic professional technical training programs and core competencies to strengthen students' industry application learning ability and gradually enhance their employment practical skills. It will follow a gradual and progressive approach, advancing step by step towards excellence.

Collaboration among industry, government, academia, and research institutions
In alignment with the government's industrial policies and industry trends, ShuzTung Machinery has partnered with the "Industry-Academia Collaboration Program for Smart Machinery" initiated by the Industrial Development Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Focusing on key technologies in the smart machinery industry, we aim to link industry and academia, cultivate interdisciplinary talents, and promote career development. We have created a comprehensive talent cultivation platform, providing students with opportunities to deepen their learning in the workplace. In the project, we have invited Chairman Chuang Tien-tsai of our company, President Chang Hsin-liang of NFU, and students who have participated in previous industry-academia collaboration projects to record project results and promote them through videos. ShuzTung Machinery is highlighted as a successful case study in promoting industry-academia collaboration.

Multi-channel Linkage
- During the industry-academia collaboration period, students who have achieved excellent comprehensive evaluation results, obtained professional certification, or won awards in national or regional skill competitions will be awarded scholarships and certificates to encourage and motivate them to continue enriching their knowledge and skills.
- Individuals who aspire to develop their career in the smart machinery industry can also be awarded a pre-employment letter from the company, which allows them to directly enter ShuzTung Machinery as formal employees in the future.

- We provide students with interactive opportunities for close contact with enterprises, as well as on-site visit learning experiences that are different from those in the classroom.
- Through these visits, students can learn about the current development and future market of related industries, and seek their own career orientation and employment skills in advance.

Industry-College Strategic Alliance
- We have signed individual industry-academia project contracts with NCUT and National Formosa University, providing guidance fees for professors, student scholarships, and setting teaching and talent cultivation goals to enhance the implementation of talent cultivation with ample resources.
- We have also donated Mitsubishi Q-Series PLC modules to Nankai University of Science and Technology for teaching and research purposes, allowing students to verify classroom theories through practical learning.
